Every TOEBEAN has a story.

This is where ours began. ♥

TOEBEANSTERS began long before it had a name.

It began with two people who met in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1994—and never really stopped exploring after that.

We’ve spent years traveling across the United States, through the Americas, and across Europe—falling in love not just with places, but with the feeling of being somewhere new. The kind of feeling you can’t quite pack in a suitcase.

🍽 The meals you still think about.

📷 The streets you wandered without a plan.

✈ The near-misses at airports that somehow become your favorite stories.

♥ And always, the sense that there was more of the world waiting.

Europe changed something in us.

The culture, the rhythm of everyday life, the way people connect—with food, with place, with each other. It stayed with us long after we returned home.

In 2021, after traveling through Spain, we made a short stop in Barcelona. Just two nights. But sometimes, that’s all it takes.

Until it wasn’t. ♥

We chose to stop wishing—and start living the life we had imagined. Barcelona became our next chapter.

At home, our world is a little quieter—but just as full.

We share it with Daisy and Bella, our two cats. Affectionate, playful, endlessly curious… and, like most cats, very committed to long naps in the sun.

🐾 If you’ve ever noticed a cat’s paws, you’ll know about toebeans—those tiny, soft pads that somehow carry so much personality. Each one a little different. Each one impossible not to love.

That’s where the name came from.

Not randomly—but from something small, familiar, and meaningful.

Because in many ways, toebeans are like travel. They’re soft, comforting, and easy to overlook at first—but once you notice them, you realize how unique each one is.

And how hard it is to love just one. 🐾
